Gideon is one of the main characters in the historical novel blue_soaring is writing. He ended up with a resemblance that I wasn't aiming for originally, but I like it. Drew this pretty quickly and extended the canvas downwards so the anatomy is a bit crap, but I learned quite a bit fooling around with this, especially as far as painting hair goes. Also I shocked myself once I realised I drew this in about an hour. Level up!

    Thanks! I couldn't quite believe it had only been an hour, but I checked when I created the file and my chat log. @_@ Blocking out the shadows and forms are so much easier for me now. It helps too that I'm pretty much sculpting the male figure each week and really starting to learn the planes of the face.

  Oh! He's so pretty (and looks eerily like a blonde Cillian Murphy, which I don't mind at all)! I love the hair. I can't believe this only took an hour. Wonderful as always.
