When a friend told me about the trailer, I thought it would turn out to be fake. But it's clearly real, and the movie seems to follow the screenplay Troy Duffy described a couple of years back.
I wonder how many people, when the camera panned up Julie Benz's legs, thought "Holy cow Dafoe is back!" :D
I used to pay attention to all the BDS2 rumours and then I gave up. I also didn't keep up on comic con news this year either so I didn't know they screened it there. Cue my being utterly floored when J surprised me with it.

I know! From all the talk of the script before I was so OMGWTF about 'the protege' angle, but I feel so much better seeing this. Even the part of me that worries that it might be a little bit crap is outvoiced by the raging squee.
Am I the only one that doesn't seem that excited about it? I mean, this one can never match the first one, I am sorry but it can't...so, it feels like it will be a dissapointment and I am not sure if I will even bother watching it. And the movie hasn't even come out yet. The trailer is cool and all and if it wasn't supposed to be a boondock saints 2 then I would be going crazy waiting for it to come but...it just seems kind of MEH otherwise...>.
:3 I imagine there are a good number of people that feel like you do. I think if I'd seen this a couple years ago at the height of all the rumours that Troy was maybe finally going to get the sequel off the ground I'd probably feel the same way. At this point though, all my gonna-be-crap worries are overwhelmed by the idea that there will be more of all the things I do love!

Right now, I don't even care if they'll fuck this up, just...they're back, they're kicking ass, and THINGS ARE EXPLODING. YES.
And I mean, falling out of the ceiling is no less silly than busting out of a crate, so it's clearly just MORE FUN TIMES.
