Look, a canon couple! I've been poking at this for a few months now and just started over and everything fell into place. Hooray for TPWB good drawing days.
I had a hard time figuring out exactly the sort of expression to put on Nelson, but I figured, you know, he wasn't /quite/ into the rough stuff as much as HJ. :3
Uhm. This was pretty much the best thing to wake up to ever. Poor confused Nelson...he looks gorgeous and tiny and guh...the rope. The ROPE. Hands down, then best part.
I'm so, so happy this turned out so well. At first I was only going to have the gloves/rope in colour, but the colouring style I went for didn't lend itself well to that, so I'm glad it's still a draw. <333
Everything worked perfectly, and my absolute favourite part is the contrast between Nelson and Rolf's skin tones. Beautiful work, once again ^_~
There was a theory I read somewhere that Nelson was actually moonlighting as Captain Axis, taking the Captain Carnage route to indulge his more violent masochistic sides before he hooked up with Rolf...I'll have to see if I can find it for you!

Yet I'm sad in knowing how they ended up...
Don't be sad! They confirmed that the unconfirmed deaths were fakes and the old queer couple in the restaurant scene were meant to be them. :D
In the novel or the movie or both? And which old queer couple in the restaurant?

Since confirmed by Dave Gibbons to be them.
...but that still means they were in New York when attacked. *imagines they went to Hawaii for an anniversary*

You're a winner, my dear. An absolute winner ^_^

As always, Maestra, fantastic work!
